The annual Relay for Life of Greene County is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2016. Planning for the event will begin at an organizational meeting Thursday, Sept. 17, at 5 pm at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson. All those interested are invited to attend the meeting and get involved in the event team.
There are many areas that are handled by this committee and supported by American Cancer Society specialist, Caryline Clark.

Many of these areas have had volunteers serving every year and welcome new ideas and energy. Several areas are looking for new people to take a leadership role. “This is a super group of people who are committed to raising awareness as well as funds to fight cancer,” said Relay chair Peg Raney.
The event planning team meets monthly on the third Thursday at 5 pm at the community center in Jefferson.
